Taking part in a tournament
Taking part in one of the tournaments couldn't be easier! If you don't have the casino software on your computer already, the first step will be to download the casino. If you already have the software, the 'Tournaments' section will appear in the Games section.
To play in a tournament, open the software and follow these easy steps:
- Click on 'Games', and then choose 'Tournaments'
- Choose which tournament you'd like to play in by clicking on the Blackjack or Slots image.
- View the list of Scheduled and Sit and Go tournaments by clicking on each tab and choose which tournament you'd like to play in by clicking on the tournament name and clicking ‘Join’.
You’ll be able to see all the game info on the game’s General Tab. This will include the Entry Fee, the top prize, the total prize pool and registration details. In Scheduled tournaments, you’ll only be able to join a game once entry has opened, which is generally a few hours before the tournament starts. Sit and Go tournaments will require a minimum number of players to join before the tournament starts.
So you've completed your first play time and you have a score to be proud of! Should you continue and secure your first place, should you rebuy and try again? Follow our tips to make sure that your high score actually earns you the top position!
- Know how long the tournament is running for: Make sure that you've checked how long the tournament runs for. If you're taking part in an all week tournament, it means that a lot more players could still join the tournament and overtake your high score.
- Save your Re-buys and Continues: Instead of immediatly using your re-buys and continues, rather leave the tournament and continually check how your score is faring against the other competitors. If you go back and check your score, you could see that you've dropped quite dramatically which means that purchasing a re-buy would be your best option.
- Choose a Re-buy or a Continue carefully: Once you're finished playing, think carefully about whether you'd like to purchase a re-buy or a continue. Check where you are on the leader board and the scores that the other participants have. If the highest players have a score that is a lot higher than yours, a re-buy would be a better option as you'd have another chance to hike up your score. If you see that you're only a few points away from top position, then choose a Continue-this will allow you to add to your currently good score.
