3 Card Poker
Microgaming’s 3 Card Poker, also sometimes called Tri-Card Poker, is a unique set of fast paced poker games that can be played online. This has the benefit that you only have to play against the dealer and do not have to focus on more than one opponent.
The biggest advantage of specifically playing Microgaming’s 3 Card Poker games however, is that it follows full-pay rules, which implies that the house edge is to the absolute minimum. Furthermore, it offers a great facility that assists you with calculating your odds.
3 Card Poker consists of two types of games, that are both played with three cards only. They are Pairplus and Ante-and-Play. You have the option to play any one you prefer, or both of them. On the Pair Plus bet, the house edge is a mere 2.3%, and on the Ante Bet, it is 3.4%.
Let us take a closer look at the rules of these two poker games:
Pairplus
In Pairplus you simply evaluate your odds based on the 3 cards you hold and then bet accordingly. Your objective is to have a higher hand than the Dealer, based on the poker rankings. In Pairplus, you get paid out for all hands of pair or better, with bonuses of 1, 4,6,30 and 40, depending on the strength of your hand.
Ante-and-play
In this poker game you have to first place an ante (bet) before your three cards are dealt. Once you have taken a look at your cards, you can either fold and lose your ante bet, or raise by placing out a bet equal to your ante bet. The pay tables pay out bonuses of 1, 4, and 5 on the Ante bonus.
Should you choose to stay in the game and play, there are three possibilities:
