Spanish Blackjack
Spanish Blackjack has a slight variance to other blackjack card games played online, which just makes it all the more interesting. The game uses eight decks of 48 cards each- as there are no tens, and all decks are reshuffled before every game. Powered by the world leader in online gaming software- Microgaming- Spanish Blackjack offers cutting edge technology which contributes to an overall more pleasurable player experience.
Should you consider yourself an advanced player, and would just like to have a little more of a challenge, the game offers an Expert Mode, with an Auto Play feature. This puts you in the driver’s seat and enables you to choose for yourself what Blackjack strategy you would like to follow. Every hand is logged as well, so that you can review your playing statistics in real time.
When playing Spanish Blackjack online at Piggs Peak, the rules of the game are conveniently available right there on your screen, and you can refer back to them at any time. Let’s just take a look at the summary of these Blackjack rules:
Surrendering late
- In Spanish Blackjack, you are allowed to choose “Late Surrender.” This means that when not playing out a hand completely, you forfeit only half of your original bet amount. The surrender can take place after you have Doubled Down as well
Splitting Rules
- Should you choose to split Aces and are then dealt a 10 value card, this does not give you Blackjack, but simply 21
- You are allowed to split a maximum of three times, for four hands
- You may re-split Aces
- Should you choose to split your Aces, you are only entitled to one more card each and will then be forced to Stand
Double Down Rules
- You are allowed to Double Down after you have received your first two cards
- Your Double Down is equivalent to your original bet
- Any hand can be Doubled Down, also after hitting
- You may also Double Down after Splitting
- You are allowed to Double Down again, but only once more
- Double Down is not allowed if you have been dealt Blackjack
Insurance Rules
- Insurance does not apply to any additional hands that have been created through Doubling Down or Splitting. The odds on your Insurance bet are 2:1. Should the Dealer not get Blackjack, then the Insurance bet value is obviously forfeited.
